iWork for iPad Apps Now Support MobileMe iDisk

iWork for iPad Apps Now Support MobileMe

iDisk

With the latest Keynote, Pages and Numbers for iPad, you can now transfer your documents directly to and from your MobileMe iDisk so you can work on them anywhere you have an Internet connection. For example, create a new Pages document on your iPad and copy it directly to your iDisk. Then, when you are back at your Mac, open the document from iDisk and continue editing right where you left off.
If you’re working from a Windows PC, access your iDisk with a browser at me.com/idisk and upload an existing Microsoft Office document. Copy the document into Keynote, Pages or Numbers on your iPad to view it or make edits. When you’ve finished working on the document, copy it back to your iDisk as either an iWork, Microsoft Office or PDF file.

Pre-orders for the new iPhone 4S were supposed to kick off at 12:01 a.m. pacific. BothVerizonWireless.com and Sprint.com websites became available just at that time for preorders, while Apple’s and AT&Ts have not yet updated.
Apple’s website is having some intermittent errors presumably due to the traffic. Sprint’s pre-orders also seems to having some troubles while we’ve seen successful Verizon pre-orders already.

Boot up: iPads dominate US tablet

traffic, Stallman on Jobs, Windows

tablet desire and more

iPads dominate among tablets in driving digital traffic. In August 2011, iPads delivered 97.2% of all tablet traffic in the US. iPads have also begun to account for a higher share of Internet traffic than iPhones (46.8 % vs. 42.6% of all iOS device traffic).”
Also: “Although the Android platform accounts for the highest share of the smartphone market (43.7% in August), its total audience among mobile and connected devices in current use is eclipsed by the Apple iOS audience. The iOS platform had the highest share of connected devices and smartphones in use at 43.1%, fueled by the iPad’s dominance in the tablet market, while Android accounted for 34.1% of the total mobile and connected device universe.”
